Celebrate One Book, One Town and National Library Week at a festive Spring Soirée, co-hosted by EQuality Downers Grove and the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation.
Event proceeds will benefit both organizations and their missions within Downers Grove.

Everyday Advocacy Workshop

Our education committee led an advocacy workshop to a packed audience! Participants learned how to become effective advocates for oppressed groups, especially the LGBTQ+ community. The workshop explored past advocacy efforts to show that every action, big or small, makes a difference, and participants were prepared for the emotional challenges of speaking up for others.
Supporting LGTBQ+ Youth Through Traumatic Experiences

EQuality Downers Grove, in partnership with the Downers Grove Public Library, presented this program which empowered allies and supporters to identify and respond to trauma-inducing actions/behaviors that affect LGBTQ+ youth.

EQDG hosted a community-wide Pride celebration at Fishel Park, where we had kids food, music, kids activities, a costume parade, and the support of many local community groups and businesses.
